Tarun, a Youth Heart Throbe in South Indian film Industry is an actor born on 8th January 1983 in Madras, to Roja Ramani who was an yesteryear Telugu actress, his father Chakrapani is also an Actor and Producer. His basic education was at BharathiyaVidhya Bhavan, Hyderabad completed his degree in BBM from Bangalore University.
Coming from a filmy background Tarun’s entry into film industry made him easy as a child arist. Tarun did his debut film as a child artist film Anjali in Tamil, in 1990, directed by Maniratnam for which he National Film Award for Best Child Artist. The same film debuted in Telugu and other languages.
Tarun also got international recognition and awards as a child artist for film Abhayam in malayalam directed by Santosh Sivan, as the film got nominated for Fukuoka international film festival in 1993.
As a child artist Tarun acted in films like Manasu Mamatha,Bujji gadi babai,Thalapathi,Pillalu Diddina Kapuram,Aditya 369 Meera ,Teja in Tamil and My Dear Muthacha in Malayalam, Abhayam in Malayalam and Vajram, Tarun acted in a total of 17 movies as child artist spanning different languages including Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Oriya.
Then came Tarun with a youthful entertainer movie as a hero in his debut film Nuvve Kavali (2000) a love story paired with Richa a new commer in the film industry directed by Vijayabhaskar and produced by Ramoji Rao. The film gave him a good break and was one of the biggest hits of that year.
Tarun’s next films Uncle, Priyamaina Neeku, Nuvvu Leka Nenu Lenu, Chirujalla were an average movies.
As a hero Tarun even acted in Tamil movies like Senthil’s Punnagai Desam (2002) and Enakku 20 Unakku 18 gave him a moderate success.
Tarun worked with Trisha and Shriya in Ela Cheppanu in Telugu, and his other Telugu films Sakhiya (2004) and Soggadu (2005),Bhale Dhongalu (2008) was the remake of the Hindi hit Bunty Aur Babli were an average success films.
Though his acting is well received by the audience but his movies could give him blockbusters as his debut film.
Tarun acted in Krishna Vamsi’s Sasirekha Parinayam with Genelia should say that the movie gave him a slight break in films. Then he was seen in the film Chukkalanti Ammayi Chakkanaina Abbayi with vimala raman could not reach the success.
